As a freshman on the cross country team, Kara Stark has made an impression on the team and her new teammates.
“Kara is very positive,” said sophomore Taylor Burlis. “She is always encouraging her teammates.”
Kara goes to practice after school every day from 3pm to 5pm.
“Kara is a very hard worker and always puts 110 percent into our workouts,” Burlis said.
After some convincing from the coaches, Stark joined the team this year before school even started.
“Kara is really fun to have on the team,” said sophomore Emma Krummanacher.
Stark said that the best part of cross country is “being part of the team.”
The team has competed in several meets, where there is always chocolate milk afterward.
Chocolate milk is the most rewarding part after a race, Stark said.
Aside from cross country, Stark will also participate in track in the spring.
