The senior class led their grade to victory last night at the 2012 homecoming games on the band field. The kickball games started the night off, with the juniors playing the freshman and the seniors playing the sophomores. Both juniors and seniors defeated the underclassmen. During the final round, seniors won against the juniors and sophomores won against the freshmen.
“I liked that all the grades could compete against each other and show their own strength,” freshman Brandon Nathanson said.
To complete the games, each grade participated in the tug-of-war competition. Numbers proved to be an advantage when seniors defeated sophomores and freshmen defeated juniors. Continuing traditions, the senior class came out of both events undefeated. The sophomores followed the seniors in second place, juniors in third and freshmen came in last.
“I love that we can show the spirit that students at Central have,” senior Melanie Gavril said. “I hope it continues after we leave.”
The homecoming spirit continues tomorrow with the early morning pep rally for Fox 2 News.
