The way we see books is different nowadays then it was 10 years ago. With all the social media and blogs out there, anyone can influence the world with what they write. That is exactly what Brigid Dolan, librarian is doing.

“I wanted to promote reading among students and teachers in this school,” Dolan said.

She started the blog a couple of weeks ago and has been tweaking with it for the last week.

“I have been working on it for a little, and now it is up and running,” Dolan said.

Dolan wanted to promote recreational reading from students. She also wanted to be able to help kids find what they want.

“I wanted to help kids and make it easier to find a good book.”

Dolan explained why she put the blog on the website as well.

“I want to get kids to put reviews up and encourage them to find good books,” Dolan said.

The blog, with short reviews of books, can be accessed through the PCH library web page under Book Recommendations, as well as directly to the site with the URL, www.pchcolts456.wordpress.com.
