As the snow day became imminent, students took to Twitter to vent their feelings about it. Parkway was one of the later districts to close school, a few hours after neighboring districts, Rockwood and Pattonville, as well as nearby districts such as Valley Park, Fox, and Lindbergh. Some took to begging Parkway for just 1 snow day this year.

Senior Ivan Miller predicted a snow day earlier in the day and some were glad he did.

My faith in Ivan has been restored. #snowday
Some were also constantly sitting by their TV’s and telephones waiting for Parkway to read across the bottom of the screen or for the phone to ring.

Even a couple of non Central student twitters joined in on the party.

Religiously watching the School Closings list can become time consuming when your city has a million high schools. #thatssoSTLRemy @RemyRadio
ATTENTION SCHOOL ADMIN around the #STL area…your students request their safety tomorrow…and would like the day off.#IsThatBelievable?
Not everyone needed too many words besides for those two that we all know and love though.

School was officially closed for tomorrow, Thursday, February 21. It was closed by Parkway at 8:00 PM. Students also had hope that due to a possible icing of the roads, a four day weekend could be in the cards for Central students.
Ashley Farris @lifesnotFARRISThey might as well just call off Friday too
