The St. Louis Symphony has awarded orchestra teacher Mrs. Winifred Crock the Outstanding Education Award for her teaching.
“I felt just pleasure, I mean how thrilling is that,” Crock said. “The award brings awareness to our program and our department, that is what is important.”
She said it was just good that a major organization like the symphony is recognizing education, outside of teacher organizations.
Crock said local media outlets, including PBS, have expressed interest in featuring her, including Ruth Ezell of the show “Living St. Louis” on Channel 9 in St. Louis.
