Snow and ice fall in Dec. 14, caused many of the ACT test taking facilities to delay the test for later dates.
“It was inconvenient because not only was I mentally prepared to take it but I had cleared my schedule to do so,” junior Gabby Mesnier said.
Although Mesnier was not pleased with the delay, other students were happy that they could put the ACT off for a few more weeks.
“It was nice because I was able to actually try an online Prep course because of the extra time from the cancellation,” junior Ben Schenberg said.
While the snow allowed for extra study time, not every student took advantage of their additional opportunity.
“It did not effect my studying because this was my first ACT and I wanted to take it once without preparation,” Mesnier said.
Some of the tests were rescheduled to Jan. 11, but others were rescheduled to Dec. 21, the day after finals week ended.
“The test was right after finals week, so I was basically brain dead by then,” senior Jonathan Hwang said.
In addition, the delay was inconvenient is because it shortened the time between when the results of the test would be received and the Feb. 8, ACT .
“I was unhappy about the delay because I wanted to take it soon and then begin ACT Prep with a tutor sooner so I was ready for the February ACT,” Mesnier said.
