Competing in a regional tournament held in Kansas City on May 16, the Central Mathletes took fifth place overall. To qualify for the competition, all teams had to place in the top ten in their respective state competition, which the team did previously, placing second in the state tournament in Columbia on Apr. 12. The majority of teams derived from Missouri, Iowa, and Kansas. According to sponsor Mr. Kurt Lehmann, the following students earned honors individually:
