A perfect score on the ACT is not an easy task for any student, but senior Minki Kim achieved this feat while balancing a full plate.
“I was going to stop after I got a second straight 34 but my parents forced me to take it again and thats when I got the 36,” Kim said. “It’s more like a bragging right than anything so I like that.”
Shooting for a high score on the test meant a lot of prep for Kim. He spent about an hour and a half a week heading into each of his first three tests, which was challenging for him to fit into his schedule consisting of four AP classes and cross country. It wasn’t until his final try that he figured things out.
“I did less studying for this one. For the first three I probably studies every week for about an hour to an hour and a half but this one I didn’t really stress about it and I think that helped.”
