Making the Music Match

After discussing the meaning behind the song Man In The Mirror and figuring out the right way to portray the meaning of the song to the audience, Emily Miller (11) adjusts her facial expressions and body language to match the tone of the song. In order to properly express a song, practice is imperative. “It’s important for us to practice so that we can not only improve our vocals, but also so that we can improve our dancing. When we practice, we build muscle memory which then helps us to nail our performances when we go to competitions,” Miller said.
