10/25 Increasing their record to 8-1 Parkway Central defeats Rockwood Summit 56-6. The new rankings will be determined Monday.

10/19 On a chilly night at Kirkwood High School, junior Michael Slater helped ice a 24-7 victory with a late interception in Kirkwood’s endzone on first and goal from the 1 yard line. The Colts (7-1) win at Kirkwood marked the first time the Pioneers had lost at home since the 2010 state semifinals. Senior Augie Brooks rushed for 150 yards and scored his 21st touchdown of the season. The Colts defense, which did not allow an offensive score, recorded four turnovers all in the second half. Senior quarterback Zack Lazenby threw for one touchdown, kicked three extra points and also made a 41-yard field goal in the second quarter. The Colts will travel to Rockwood Summit next friday to face the Falcons (3-5) with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

10/12 Coming off a blowout against rival Parkway North, the Colts dominated the University City Lions by a score of 44-0. All of the scoring came in the first half, with 28 points in the 1st quarter and 16 points in the 2nd. Senior quarterback Zack Lazenby rushed for two short touchdowns and senior Johnny Naughton had two defensive scores on a fumble recovery and an interception. This is the fourth shutout of the year for the Colts who improved their record to 6-1 on the season. The 8th ranked Colts will travel to Kirkwood to face the 4th ranked Pioneers (6-0) next Friday.

10/5  The Colts defeated the Parkway North Vikings 44-0 improving their overall ranking to 5-1 and 3-1 in the Suburban South Conference Play. After a touchdown in the beginning of the game the Colts scored a total of 24 points within 8:22 in the second quarter with senior running back Augie Brooks scoring runs of  48, 22, 11 and 4 runs. Next up for the Colts is University City this Friday with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

9/28 The Colts took on the Webster Groves Statesmen and faced their first loss of the season when they were defeated by a score of 28-7. The only touchdown the Colts could manage came in the first quarter when junior Michael Slater rushed 6 yards into the end zone. This was Slater’s first game back this season due to him having surgery earlier this year. The Colts look for redemption on Friday when they host long time rival Parkway North.

9/21 After moving up to number one in the St. Louis large school football rankings, the Colts (3-0) took on the Parkway West Longhorns, who stumbled into the contest with an 0-3 record on the season. The contest was a runaway from the get go, with the Colts jumping to a 28-0 lead going into the half. The defense also shut out the Longhorns in the second half, allowing zero points in a game for the second time this season. The final score was 49-0 in favor of the Colts, who improved their record to 4-0 on the season. Senior Augie Brooks had four touchdowns in the rout, bringing his total to 15 on the season which is tied for tops in the area. Senior Zack Lazenby threw for 187 yards and had a touchdown pass. The highlight of the game came though when senior Johnny Naughton intercepted a pass 45 yards for a touchdown. The Colts will travel to Webster Groves Friday to take on the #10 ranked Statesmen (2-2) who have won two straight. The Colts have beaten Webster groves three straight times.

9/14 Senior halfback Augie Brooks had 4 rushing touchdowns and a 63 yard punt return touchdown to help the Colts cruise to a 56-10 victory over conference opponent Seckman to improve to 3-0 and 1-0 in the conference. Along with Brooks, senior fullback Khalen Saunders ran 17 yards to the end zone late in the second quarter to give the Colts a 42-3 lead at the half. Junior Daniel Burcke helped the scoring from the defensive side of the ball with a 17 yard fumble recovery in the third quarter. The Colts are averaging 48.7 points per game and 6.7 points allowed per game. Next up the Colts will face rival Parkway West (0-3) on the eve of homecoming with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

9/7 Coming off of a 41-10 win against Ladue, the Colt’s looked to carry their success over against Clayton.

The Colts started off the game well, jumping out to a 22-0 lead after the first quarter. They continued their first half dominance, ending the half with a 43-0 lead. Senior Augie Brooks led the Colt’s with four touchdowns, a season high for the team. The game ended with a 49-0 score. Their next game is Friday at Seckman (0-2)
