Girls Volleyball

10/23 The varsity team beat Parkway South in its senior night game (25-23), (25-23). On Monday the Oct. 28 they will play against Parkway North at Parkway North at 5:15 for the first game of the district tournament. In the junior varsity final home game they lost (6-25), (25-18), (16-25).

10/16 Today all levels of girls volleyball traveled to Parkway West . The freshman level defeated Parkway West overall by winning two of their three matches (26-24), (14-25), (25-19). Junior varsity was defeated  and varsity lost two matches (11-25) and (14-25).  Tomorrow all levels will host Kirkwood in their “Dig Pink” matches supporting Breast Cancer. Freshman and junior varsity will start at 4:15 and varsity at 5:15.

10/9 Over the weekend, freshman lost all three matches in the Park/Rock tournament, JV won one match and lost two matches in the Parkway North Tourney, and varsity lost one match, won one match, and split one match in the Lutheran South Tourney. On Oct. 8, freshman volleyball lost  in two games (25-19) (225-21) and JV lost in two games (25-22) (25-23) against Seckman. Varsity defeated Seckman.  Tonight all levels will travel to Westminster, with games starting at 4:00.

10/2 Girls volleyball lost in three games (13-25) (25-21) (19-25) against Marquette on Monday night. According to Coach Schaefer, the girls played very well against a top team in the area. Marquette is the number six best girls volleyball team in the area. Their next game is tonight against Incarnate Word at Incarnate Word.

9/25 Over the weekend, Colts traveled to St. Charles High School for a tournament. The team won against St. Charles High School and Christian High School and fell to JFK and Valley St. Genevieve. Today, the team took on University City, defeating them in two games (25-13) (25-11). They will look for their next victory against Fort Zumwalt East on Saturday.

9/17  Girls volleyball lost in three games (10-25) (25-18) (19-25) against Pattonville last night. According to Coach Schaefer, the girls did the things they needed to do and be successful in the second game. In the third game, they got into too big of a hole to come back, and were playing catch-up most of the time. Their next game is this Thursday at home against Webster Groves.

9/3 Girls volleyball lost 20-25 and 21-25 to Fort Zumwalt East. New freshmen Katherine Loue and Paige Wallis played and Madeline Finkelstein got the game ball. Their next game is Friday, Sept. 6th at Hazelwood West.
