The softball team played many exciting games during their postseason. The first day of districts for the softball team was on Wednesday, Oct. 10 vs. Mccluer North. Central played a great game, and won 12-2, advancing to the district semifinals. Central played against Pattonville, and thrillingly won 8-1, moving on the the district championship on Friday, Oct. 12. With rain in the forecast, the game had to be rescheduled for Saturday, Oct 13 at 12:00 at Hazelwood West. It was the coldest game of the season, so everyone had to stay as warm and possible. The game was scoreless through seven innings. They had to go into extra innings to break the tie. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Hazelwood West was batting, and the batter swung, getting jammed by our pitcher, makes it to first base scoring the winning run on an error. It was a heartbreaking loss for the Parkway Central Colts getting making it so close to winning a District Championship in years.
