After a victory over former state champion, Priory, the soccer team followed the opening victory with a 5-1 win over Parkway South. The team starts the season with a record of 2-0 and a total of 9 goals scored in two games.
“We were able to spread the ball around which allowed for a lot of scoring oppurtunities,” senior captain Ben Gross said. “Also, we didn’t allow to many shots on (Andrew) Chekadanov which always helps.”
The team remains undefeated in their opening season of Class 2 play.
“We expect to play hard and work to attack the goal and win games,” junior Ben Mendel said.
The next game is scheduled for Wednesday September 5 vs Webster Groves on the turf at 6:00 p.m.
