In their second game in the Parkway Tournament, the boys varsity basketball team pulled out a 53-45 victory in a back and forth game with West.
Junior Jarrett Cox-Bradley led the scoring for the Colts with 17 points, and helped ice the win down the stretch.
“I was just trying to do whatever I could to help our team win,” Cox-Bradley said. “We kind of had a bad game offensively so I just tried to get us going offensively.”
Seniors Nathan Biggs and Connor Kraus also played well down the stretch defensively and offensively. Biggs finished the game with 13 points, and Kraus finished the game with 10 points and had a key defensive block late in the fourth quarter.
“We just kept going at it, kept playing our game, playing good defense, and working for tough buckets,” Kraus said. “Eventually we got some key stops down the road and stretched it out a little bit. A win is a win.”
The boys varsity basketball team will travel to Parkway North on Friday night to face the Vikings in the Parkway Tournament at 7 p.m.
