The varsity boys basketball team remain at the top of the standings in the Suburban South after a 70-48 win over the Rockwood Summit Falcons. The victory improves their record to 10-4, 3-0 in conference play. The Colt’s jumped out to an early 13-6 lead after the first quarter, and never looked back.
Central shot an 59% from the floor and 77% from the free throw line. Senior Nathan Biggs led the team with 16 points, along with five assists and seven rebounds. Senior Connor Kraus and Junior Jarrett Cox-Bradley added 14 points each in route to their victory.
The team takes a break from conference play to participate in the Ameritime Tournament held at Missouri Baptist University. The Colt’s (3) first game is Monday against Festus (6) with tip-off scheduled for 4:00.
