During his time working at a camp over the summer, junior Robert Shifrin helped a camper who had trouble keeping his bladder in check.
“One kid peed his pants four times in one day,” Shifrin said. “The first time (he told me) I burst out laughing and then I realized he was serious.”
The four times his camper peed his pants provided four different opportunities to react to the situation that he had to fix.
“I realized this was a moment to take initiative so I searched for a spare pair of pants to take my poor camper out of his misery,” Shifrin said of the first couple times. “The fourth time I officially gave up and brought him to the camp director who decided it was going to be the camper’s problem.”
