Multisport athletes are not rare at Parkway Central, where practices and games eat up a lot of time and it is difficult to balance a busy schedule. Senior Hanna Whitehouse adds even more to her plate.
“I quit cross country so I could focus on my year round swim team all summer and fall long,” Whitehouse said. “Then I will play soccer in the spring.”
According to Whitehouse, she wants to qualify for the girls state swim team this year so she is dedicating time to put herself in the best position to do that. She not only works hard year-round in sports but in the classroom as well.
“I’m taking AP Stat, AP US History, and Honors Anatomy to prepare for college where I would like to go into the medical field,” Whitehouse said.
