Junior Kati Harling moved to Chesterfield from Germany this year after her dad accepted a job offer.
“I moved here from Germany because my father got a job here,” Harling said.
Harling enjoys penny boarding and playing basketball. Penny boarding is very similar to skate boarding but the major difference is that the deck of a penny board is made of plastic instead of hard wood. Harling says she already likes the American lifestyle.
“I think that the people here in America are more open with their opinions,” Harling said.
