Although junior Jeffrey Eidelman is a fan of sports, his commitment to school journalism goes well beyond writing for The Corral.
“I write teen articles for the Jewish Light, a newspaper distributed biweekly across St. Louis,” Eidelman said. “The stories I write are sent out monthly.”
Eidelman dives into the lives of Jewish teens and what they do within the community. His current story focuses on the war in Israel and how Jewish teens feel it affects them.
“I feel it’s important because adults don’t usually want to interview teens and it’s important that teens get their say in the Jewish community,” Eidelman said.
Eidelman may only be two years into high school, but his dedication to both newspapers show his focus towards building his skills for a career in the future.
“I’m very self-critical about my writing; I judge myself. Hopefully being on two newspapers will help my writing career in the long run, if I were to have one in journalism,” Eidelman said.
