Junior Cody Van Oppen spends his free time playing the drums when he isn’t occupied with school and work.
“I taught myself how to play the drums a few years ago and I used to play all the time but as soon as school started and I got a job I didn’t have as much time so I usually play about 3 times a week,” Van Oppen said.
Van Oppen started working at Scarecrow restaurant in September as a busser. Despite loosing his practice time on the drums, he enjoys his work and the luxuries it provides.
“I make good money between minimum wage and tips, and the work isn’t bad once you know where to put everything and what to do ,” Van Oppen said.
