Working at the restaurant “Yaya’s”, senior Kayla Kozel has encountered many unique experiences.
“It was a Saturday night and it was really busy, there was at least an hour wait for a table and this lady came in with her family around 8:30 expecting a table when their reservation was at 6:30,” Kozel said.
What happened was they had made an online reservation and thought they hit 8:30 when in fact they actually set it for 6:30.
“They came in expecting a table and got angry with me when I couldn’t seat them right away,” Kozel said. “I tried to explain to them but the she just kept yelling at me and blaming me. This guy stepped up then, and I guess it was the father, but he got in my face and yelled at me and I started tearing up and went to go get my manager. The family even started getting into it with my manager because they believe this will all my fault when it wasn’t.”
