As a part of an internship program, senior Laura Stecher spends her 7th and 8th blocks at Shenandoah Elementary School.
“I observe occupational therapy,” Stecher said. “It’s a group of kids in the special education classroom.”
Stecher wants to go into the healthcare field, but is unsure of which part of it she wants to work in. Occupational therapy is one of her top choices.
“Today we’re cooking with the kids in the classroom,” Stecher said. “It helps them with their therapy and it’s a fun way to do it.”
