10/8 The girls golf team finished their season strong, with a team low of 183. On Monday, Oct. 7 juniors Elizabeth Leath, Megan Grazman, and Molly Pannett, as well as freshman Melanie Wilmert, competed in district competitions. Of the four girls, Leath is the only one to advance to sectionals by tying for third place. Leath will compete in sectionals on Monday, Oct. 14 with hopes of advancing to state on Monday, Oct. 21.

9/10 Though the girls varsity golf team began their season with a four match losing streak, the team believes they will start picking up wins in upcoming matches.
So far, the team has played Parkway North, Kirkwood, Rockwood Summit, and Lafayette, as well as competing in the Webster Groves Tournament, with defeats in each match. According to senior Lizzie Altman, however, the team has strong players and hopes to improve.
One setback to their progress, however, is the ski accident head coach Mr. Todd Pannett was involved in over Labor Day weekend. Pannett broke four of his ribs and bruised a lung, and was accordingly unable to coach for the following week. On Mon., Sep. 9, Pannett resumed teaching, as well as coaching in the match against Parkway North.
“We just wanted to make him proud,” Altman said.
The team will compete in the Lindbergh tournament on Wed., Sep. 11.
