Senior Connor Kraus threw seven complete innings to help varsity baseball top the Cadets of CBC, as the Colts advanced to the district championship.
The 5th-seeded Colts took on the #1 ranked team in their district when they squared off against CBC on Tuesday, winning 5-3.
Along with the contribution from the upperclassmen, led on Tuesday by Kraus, Central had some underclassmen deliver as well. Sophomore Josh Konecek tallied four hits on the day, reaching base each time he came up to the plate.
Following their defeat of CBC, the Colts will take on #2 seed Desmet on Wednesday, with first pitch beginning at 4:15 at Desmet. Junior Ben South is scheduled as the game’s starting pitcher.
