Freshman Matt Stephens owns a 12 sided Rubik’s cube that he has completed on multiple occasions. Stephens says “I got it at the end of the 8th grade.” To finish it, Matt said “It took me about 4 months.” That’s impressive to stay at it for so long. There are many different ways on how to solve the puzzling device. Stephens said that “I have 5 different algorithms. 1 of them is for solving the middle and the rest are for solving the top.” Matt has solved that thing lots of times. To be specific, Matt says “At least a 100 times by now.” The longest it ever took Matt to finish it was the first time he did it, 4 months. Matt says the shortest time it ever took him to finish the cube was “I’d say probably about 5 minutes.”
