Reading music from a songbook, Josh Rudman (12) learns how to play the song Country Roads with the help of Jeff Dicker (12) in Guitar 1. Rudman entered the class knowing how to play the ukulele as well as the strumstick. “Because I knew how to play these instruments, I was able to pick up guitar easily. When I first started playing the guitar, I wasn’t comfortable enough to play songs I wanted to, but I have already learned six different chords, so now I can. Aside from my previous musical knowledge, Jeff has also helped me to pick up guitar quickly. He comes to me when he needs help and I go to him when I need help; we’re guitar buddies,” Rudman said.
